Lynn Skurla Perkins

Lynn grew up in the point of sale and cash register industry working in the family business – and is now at the helm of Skurla's POS Solutions. She enjoys working with local Alaskan businesses, especially restaurants, grocery stores, and retail operations - helping them control costs and increase revenues through well managed point of sale solutions. Besides running the company, Lynn has also served on the Board of Directors, and as Chairman of the Board, for the Retail Solutions Provider Association. In her spare time, she loves cooking, camping and volunteering with organizations that are passionate about helping children.

We are continuing to receive notices from most of our hardware vendors, like the one below from Ingenico.
 
"COVID-19 is continuing to significantly affect electronics manufacturing in 2021. This is impacting not only the payment technology market but all companies in the technology manufacturing space, from automotive to smart phones, every sector is being impacted. The reality is that while available capacity remains constant, there is a global shortage of components used in semiconductor manufacturing due to the limited availability of raw materials. As a result, lead times are increasing to 6+ months across all sectors."

We have heard from suppliers that an increase in paper prices is forthcoming and wanted to give you a heads-up.

"During the past few weeks, all major Mills that supply thermal and other paper grades to the North American market have announced price increases ranging from 8% to 15% depending on the grade and weight of the paper."

Proactively, we have brought in extra stock before the price increase goes into effect.
