The 5 Questions on Inventory 

(or why is it such mystery how to manage inventory effectively?)

 Hello Alaskans! Another winter is coming, and we’ve had another year of pandemic under our belts.  For those in the retail and grocery realm, maybe you’ve had a chance to regroup and strategize about what you can do to do improve.  I suspect that the word “inventory” has come up a lot - if so you’re not alone.  Retailers across the board have had inventory issues since 2020, and while it’s gotten better in some ways, but it continues to be an issue. 

Traditionally, retail point of sale (POS) systems were primarily used to control cash and record sales. Retail has become more competitive than ever - consumers are using the Internet more than ever to research products, compare prices and shop online.

Today's point of sale systems use data in ways never possible before - and savvy business owners are learning what to do with that data to increase revenues, capture market share, become more competitive, while still controlling their costs and capturing vital sales information.
