Brevig Mission Implements a New Grocery System

Brevig Mission is  an Inupiaq Eskimo village of about 350 residents, located at the mouth of Shelman Creek on Port Clarence, 5 miles northwest of Teller and 65 miles northwest of Nome.

The store at Brevig Mission implemented a new grocery scanning system this year - the Aurora Alaska Tough Point of Sale system from Skurla's Point of Sale Solutions.

Besides scanning, they are also able to offer monthly promos for their customers through a joint service offered by Skurla's and Pacific Alaska Wholesale (PAW).  Every month, PAW sends a promo file to Skurla's, and they import it into the point of sale system for Brevig.  Stores using this program have shared that their customers love the promos, and it brings increased sales to the store on a monthly basis.
